With Kale and Eight making plans for the future, they forgot that nothing came easily for them. Gail is taken captive by newly released con, Fernando Gonzales, son of former Azteca president, Salvador. And Rodney is in on it, still missing his relationship with Kale. Kale grabbed that hand and held it tightly, leaning in to give him a kiss. “You talk a good game for someone who melts when our puppy licks you and wags her tail. I’ve seen your soft underbelly, babe, and you can’t change that.”
“You really think I’ve changed, huh?”
Kale laughed loudly at that. “I think you’ve changed more than anyone I’ve ever known, but the old you is still there. I doubt if you’ll don an apron anytime soon and start baking cookies.”
“Baking cookies? Next, you’ll ask me to breastfeed!”
“Why, Eight! Are you asking me to have babies with you?”
He knew Kale was kidding, but suddenly his heart stopped, and he felt his saliva dry up. Kale didn’t notice, but that scared the crap out of him.
Then he did notice. Kale turned to face him, worry evident on his handsome face, brows drawn, mouth thin and tight. “Eight?”
Trying to smile, Eight whispered, “Someday. Maybe.”
Kale was as shocked as him. He didn’t know where it came from, or why he’d said it, but as soon as he had, it felt right. “Eight? Eight, what the hell are you talking about?”
Trying to brush it off wasn’t going to work, he knew that much. Kale would persist until it drove him crazy, so he said simply, “Someday. Maybe. For now, no. We have enough to handle.”
He was fidgeting, and that wasn’t like him. He chewed his thumbnail and looked away; avoiding whatever expression Kale may have on his face. Good, bad or blank. “Eight, you’d want that? With me?”
“I said, someday. Maybe! Don’t you hear right, Chiquito? Maybe you should get your ears cleaned out.”
He rose from the couch and started to leave the room, but he was nearly tackled with Kale jumping on his back, wrapping arms around his throat as he cheered, “You just keep surprising me, Eight.”

I love the fact that after being away from Kale for almost three years, feeling broken inside. Eight hasn’t changed a bit. He is still a take prisoners and ask questions later kind of guy. The time has not mellowed him one little bit. He is is just as jealous as ever when it comes to Kale.Kale did a lot of growing up in the almost three years since he has seen Eight. Doesn’t stop treating Kale like a child and dominating him tho.
Wait until you meet Nando, and Andre ! Holy God!! Rodney. Rodney, Rodney. What the heck makes you tick?
The way that we meet three new characters and follow them and then she brings back the other characters to have them all come together is amazing. No one does character building better than she does!
Kirk and Malcolm are so great together! They are opposite of each other but fit perfectly! One with muscle and one naturally thin. He worries that Kirk being so big and strong will leave him. After all, Kirk deserves someone better than him.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat! It’s grabs you and doesn’t let go. I held my breath through a lot of it. I had to stop because I was so nervous. I also had to stop reading because it was so hot! It always amazes me how Rain can draw out so much emotion from her readers. You are there. You are feeling what they feel. If they are afraid you are afraid. If they are hot and heavy you are hot and heavy!
Rain makes you feel so much that at one point I was actually crying. Not because I was sad. Nope! It was because I was so happy! How many authors can do that to you? Not once but twice? I had to stop at the end just to let in what I read sink in. It was amazing! I wasn’t ready to move on.
This book is epic! Do yourself a favor and get the first one!! I know you will want to read this book!!!

This is a great story. Love catching up with Kirk and Malcolm. Love them. The new couple are very interesting. Can't wait to read how their relationship twists and turns. Great job Rain. 🙂
Eight and Kale are building their life, old enemies and new enemies keep life exciting. New friends are made. This book was action filled, lots of great sex and some romance. Can't wait for the next one
Book Two in the series continues to follow the relationship between Kale and Eight. They're settling into their relationship and making plans for the future. Then a new threat comes in the form of Fernando, recently released from prison and the son of the deceased former Azteca President, Sal.
Fernando is looking to avenge his father's death, take over the MC and kill Eight. But everything isn't exactly as it seems. R.C. takes you on a roller coaster ride for this one. Hold on and enjoy the ride!
This book was action packed with a strong story line. It was an excellent follow up to Aces and Eights. It was intense, sexy and even has some romance. Yes, I said romance. Who knew Eight had a romantic side ;)
I love the hell out of these guys and look forward to the next book in their series!

Awesome series. You just have to love Kale and Eight. I just love this series.
Great follow up to Aces and Eights. I really enjoyed the mix of action, suspense, heartbreak and so much romance. Kale still feels the need to prove to Eight that they can be partners, while Eight just wants to protect him from harm. There is a lot more biker involvement to solve the conflict in the story and we get to meet new characters like Nando and Andre, who add a lot to the story. Mal and Kirk are still so perfect together. Rodney, Rodney, Rodney, I still don't know if to hate him or not.
This was another fantastic ride into the world of Eight and Kale. This is not for the faint of heart. These men are explosive together and the men they associate with are rough, underhanded, some are stone cold killers. This story starts out with Fernando, who is described as hot, sexy and out for revenge. Then there is also Andre, he sounds exquisite and they're in the same biker gang. This was a FANTASTIC, emotional, adventure. It has moment of deep down hurt and deep, deep love. This story brings all the characters from the previous book back and it's great to see how they have all made progress. This is another outstanding series that looks like it's going to continue with us wanting MORE!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS OUTSTANDING SERIES!!!!
